How to Create an ElectroMall Account | Registration Guide

This guide explains how to create your account, the accepted mobile number formats, how long your verification code remains valid, and how to resolve common registration issues.

What You Need Before You Start

Before creating your account, make sure you have:

• An Iraqi mobile number with WhatsApp.

• A valid personal email address.

• A mobile number that is not already linked to another account — only one account can be associated with each number.

How to Create Your Account

1. Click Create Account at the top of the page.

2. Enter your name as you would like it to appear on your account.

3. Enter your mobile number as a 10-digit number starting with 7, for example: 7701234567. Iraq’s country code (+964) is added automatically, so you do not need to enter it.

4. Enter your email address.

5. Agree to the Terms & Conditions.

6. Click Continue. A four-digit verification code will be sent to your mobile number via SMS.

7. Enter the verification code to complete your registration. Your account will be activated immediately.

Verification Code: What You Need to Know

• The verification code contains four digits and is sent via SMS to the mobile number you entered.

• The code is valid for two minutes. After that, you will need to request a new code.

• After three incorrect attempts, the code becomes invalid. Request a new code instead of continuing to retry.

• You can request a verification code up to three times per minute. If you reach the limit, wait one minute before trying again.

If you do not receive the code, wait a few moments and select Resend Code. Make sure your mobile number is correct and that you have adequate network coverage.

Mobile Number Format

Only Iraqi mobile numbers are accepted for registration.

On the ElectroMall website, enter your number as a 10-digit number starting with 7, such as:

7701234567

The system automatically adds Iraq’s +964 country code.

When entering your number through other supported channels, the system may accept and standardize the following formats:

• 07701234567

• 7701234567

• 009647701234567

• +9647701234567

All of these formats are standardized to:

+9647701234567

Non-Iraqi numbers and landline numbers cannot be used for registration.

Sign Up with Google or Facebook

You can also create your ElectroMall account using Google or Facebook, without completing the standard registration form.

However, your mobile number must still be verified before you place your first order.

If you register through a social account without verifying your mobile number, you will see the following message during checkout:

Verify your mobile number to complete your order.

Enter your mobile number and complete the verification process once. You will not need to repeat this step for future orders.

If an existing ElectroMall account is already associated with the same mobile number, your accounts may be merged automatically while preserving your shopping cart and favorites.

Common Registration Issues and Solutions

• Entering your number with a leading zero or country code: On the website registration form, enter only the 10-digit number starting with 7.

• Entering an expired verification code: The code is valid for two minutes. If it expires, request a new one rather than entering the old code.

• Repeatedly entering an incorrect code: After three incorrect attempts, the code becomes invalid. Request a new verification code.

• Repeatedly selecting “Resend Code”: You can request a code up to three times per minute. If you reach the limit, wait one minute before trying again.

• Starting registration but not completing verification: Simply register again using the same mobile number. You can restart the process without receiving a “number already in use” message.

• Registering with a number you do not own: The verification code is sent to the owner of the mobile number, so you will not be able to complete registration without access to it.

Account Requirements and Special Cases

• ElectroMall customer accounts do not use passwords. Sign-in is completed using your mobile number and a verification code.

• Only one account can be associated with each mobile number, and each account can have only one email address.

• Registration is currently available for Iraqi mobile numbers only.

• An unverified account cannot complete a purchase. Mobile number verification is required before placing your first order.

• You can update your name, email address, or date of birth later by going to My Account → Edit Account.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a password?

No. ElectroMall uses passwordless sign-in. You log in using your mobile number and a verification code sent to you.

How long is the verification code valid?

The code is valid for two minutes. After it expires, request a new one.

I didn’t receive my verification code. What should I do?

Check that your mobile number is correct and that you have network coverage, then select Resend Code. You can request a code up to three times per minute.

Can I register with a non-Iraqi mobile number?

No. Registration is currently available for Iraqi mobile numbers only.

I signed up with Google. Why do I still need to provide my mobile number?

Mobile number verification is required before you can complete your first order. You only need to complete this verification once.

I started registration but didn’t enter the verification code. Do I need to start again?

Yes. Register again using the same mobile number, and you can restart the verification process without receiving a “number already in use” message.

Can I change my registered mobile number?

Mobile number changes are subject to review by the ElectroMall Customer Service team. Contact Customer Service if you need to change the number associated with your account.
